TANK VALVE with JACKET

Jacket covering the entire valve
Designed to maximize thermal efficiency

The basic structure of this type of tank valve is that the entire valve body is wrapped in a jacket and welded to the inner side of the inlet flange and the outlet flange.

The interior of the jacket, which is made of cast metal, has a uniform space that makes the heat evenly dispersed within the valve and improves thermal efficiency. Therefore, jacketed flush bottom tank valves are excellent products that can meet all demands for thermal manipulation, such as heating to high temperature, cooling to low temperature, and maintaining temperature during the reaction.

The end of the jacket is welded to the back side of the flange. By this design, the heat is applied not only to the flow path but also to the top of the gland packing. Please note that the flange of this design is an over-flange, i.e., the flanges of the jacketed tank valve is 1 to 2 sizes larger than the nominal diameter (port diameter) of the flow channel.

By this design the tank valve fits nicely in the jacket casting with a special dimension, we have achieved the goal of "operating efficiency = cost reduction". Compared to our other designs that require many more welds to construct, this jacketed design takes fewer welds and less work; therefore, despite it has stainless steel castings, this type of jacketed tank valve is comparatively affordable and safe to use.

Best for high-viscosity fluids and slurry solutions

With the jacket covering the entire valve body, the jacketed tank valve can keep its interior at a suitable temperature to quickly discharge the fluids that would otherwise reduce its fluidity at room temperature.

This type of jacketed tank valve can make the control of fluid discharge much easier and make it possible to send the fluids downstream for processing while maintaining the fluid temperature after discharge.
